Description:

For news about kdesvn see now http://kdesvn.alwins-world.de

kdesvn is a subversion client using the native subversion delevelopment API instead of just parsing the output of the commandline tool like most other clients do.

It tries to setup a look and feel like the standard filemanager of KDE and is integrated into it via KPart.

The base C++ interface to subversion I took from the (real great) tool Rapidsvn (see http://rapidsvn.tigris.org/) with some modifcations and fixes.

When interested in getting the source from scratch:

http://anongit.kde.org/kdesvn
(do a git clone http://anongit.kde.org/kdesvn)

Comments are welcome. You may use the bugtracker https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=kdesvn
for reporting bugs or request features missing.

 Build Issue on EL4

Could you help me out with a build problem on RedHat EL4. I have run cmake from a build directory within the source tree as instructed, which seems to complete. I then proceed to issue a make and I get the following error.

[ 1%] Generating urldlg.moc

Your kde is to old, you require at least kde 3.4.

you may try (if you wnat upgrade your'e kde) kde-redhat (kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/) and you must upgrade to a newer subversion than 1.1 (the default in RHEL 4), for instance with http://rpmforge.net/

CTRL-A works for me, or did you mean something else?

He means a select all new items to add rather than having to go through and click each individual file that you wish to add.

 additional feature

I have an idea for this great application. Sometimes I create a directory and some files in it - in already existing a tree. Then I just click commit on the root of the tree. I get the new directory in the list of changed files with 'Add and Commit'. However, the new files in that directory do not appear.

So, I have to cancel the dialog, and go and find that new directory and press Ctrl+Insert to add them manually.

The obvious wish is to have the new files in the commit dialog for the first time. What do you think? Can I turn this on now somehow?

Thank you

???

not good. This should not happen.

but anyway: set

CXXFLAGS="-fPIC"

before running cmake. or in your case, remove content of build-folder and re-run it after setting this environment variable.

 failure working copy

kdesvn 0.13 fails to open a directory as working copy if the directory is a link.

do you open it with a "/" at the end? if yes, try it without last / - there is a small bug when detecting symbolic links

no real idea, this mostly happens when "moc" isn't done. Or wrong linking flags

Do you use a 64bit system? If yes you may try exporting "LDFLAGS=-m64" and "CXXFLAGS=-m64" (or give it with commandline) and re-run cmake in a fresh(!) builddir.

Other ideas I don't have.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
