 lame new vbr

I'd like to suggest to include by default --vbr-new for lame vbr (it's faster than the regular algorithm)

 cue splitting

by VCSkier on: Oct 10 2007

This is a great application. Thank you. One feature that would multiply its value to me would the ability to split images into track-files based on cuesheets. K3B has a setting to rip an audio CD to a single file with a cue file. SoundKonverter should be able to then take this, and convert it to individual tracks of another format. Thanks again.

So am I correct in my understanding that there is currently no GNU/linux native application that can currently perform cue splitting with tag retention on a batch of files?

 Can't convert mp3's

by somedamfool on: Oct 11 2007

Score 50%

I installed soundKonverter on both my machines, but it doesn't recognize mp3's as a supported format. I have mp3 codecs and lame on both machines. I want to convert my mp3's to ogg-vorbis. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mike

could you please go to the directory: ~/.kde/share/apps/soundkonverter/logs, remove all files, start soundkonverter, try to convert your files and send me all files in the log directory (before closing soundkonverter) to hessijames at gmail dot com.

then it would be good to know which os you are using. and some more infos like: shows mp3 up in the file open dialog, does dropping mp3 files work?

Hi,

First, congratulations for this great piece of software. I was wondering if you could add support for mpc decoding using mpc123 (mppdec is not in Debian, I think).

Thanks!

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
