It also monitors the link status - could detect if a networking cable is attached to the nic or not...

* To rebuild from source run ./autogen.sh in the root package folder.

Requires linux 2.4 or 2.6

 Default system??

Hi Yodor,

Many thanks for this program. I am using it on my computer at home and also at work. All the time I turn on the computer your program starts to run. It selects the item to monitor as "lo" local area network.
But actually I am connected to internet via ethernet adsl.
Everytime i go to settings and change it as "eth0"
Is there a way to set the default monitoring item as "eth0" or any other one ??
Ragards
Attila

Yes, it is possible, in the new version 0.66 the interface selected is saved immediately, so you don't need to quit/restart the application as in the previous versions.

Hi, i try to compile this tool. Configure is working without problems, but make stops with the message: "netsettingsdialog.h:30:25: error: netsettings.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden (translate: File or Directory not found) I have search with google, but not found this include file. I'm using Debian fetch, Kernel 2.6.11 Where can I find this include-file? Thanks noritz

This file must be auto generated from netsettings.ui by the Qt UIC compiler.
I suggest you run the autogen.sh before running configure.

Hi my news are not good but hope it helps to your project. I can't said a thing about if it's good or not. I tried to compile in a machine with KDE 3.3 and had the following errors:

This machine has installed qt3.3.

Now i really wanted to trie your app and
tried to install it on a different machine. Again with KDE 3.3

checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.2) (library qt-mt) not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!

The error is well descriptive but i've installed qt-4.0.1 and qt-3.3 can't coexists together in a peaceful enviroment. the last error it's my problem but i thought i could be useful to you. that's all

Hey, great job; very nice application.
I did also come into the 'prefix' Suse 9.3 trouble, but it configures ok with ./configure --prefix=`kde-config --prefix`

Once again, good app!

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
