Description:

KFlickr MT is a patchset against KFlickr which contains aditional features and bugfixes. For a detailed changelog see the Changelog section. This version is supported by me (marcus@thiesen.org) and may contain bugs that are not in the original version. Please send bugreports regarding the MT version to kflickr-bugs@thiesen.org.

Changelog:

These changes are against the official KFlickr release (0.4). For a detailed changelog of the MT versions see the homepage.

Features
feature: show image in list that is currently uploaded
feature: at least show filesize as it is on disk
feature: file count
feature: set image quality
feature: maintain EXIF data after image transformation (with code by Renchi Raju)
feature: update avaliable bandwidth after each photo
feature: set photo license
feature: add photo to groups
feature: rotate photos
feature: inline tag editing (with hotkeys)
feature: multi word tags
feature: create flickr fotosets/add photos to set
feature: context menu (set privacy, edit inline, add/remove/edit)
feature: add/remove/edit in the file menu
feature: preview in add dialog
feature: make edit dialog load a bigger preview (async)
feature: previous and next navigation in edit dialog (CTRL+P, CTRL+N)

Fixes
fix: "is_friend" not "is_friends" (made it impossible to set privacy to friend)
fix: fire up all preview jobs centrally to avoid broken previews and ignore max size option
fix: use QStringLists to communictae args in FlickrComm to avoid problems with "&" in titles
fix: remove file ending before setting file name as title (or should this be configurable?)
fix: common tags while batch editing/don't overwrite by default
fix: send the auth token with call for tag list, otherwise it just returns tags for public photos
fix: update avaliable bandwidth after all pictures are uploaded
fix: use smoothScale algorithm for scaling
fix: utf8 fixes from KFlickr CVS
fix: neither Qt nor KDE can write GIFs, disable transformations

 Corrections

Just to clear some things up.

"fix: neither Qt nor KDE can write GIFs, disable transformations"
KFlickr is smart enough not have to stick to the input file format it will make use of any available output format, not a bug

"fix: remove file ending before setting file name as title"
Design decision, not a bug

"fix: common tags while batch editing/don't overwrite by default"
This breaks the batch mode paradigm

I have no problem with the KFlickr fork but don't claim something as fixed when it is not broken in the original product.

Design decision then, because I believe that all the transformations should not change the original file format.

This breaks the batch mode paradigm

This is a design decision, usablity feature as well, because it allows quick adding and removing of tags without having to overwrite them all.

I have no problem with the KFlickr fork but don't claim something as fixed when it is not broken in the original product.
I still don't see it as a fork because I hope we'll have a common version again someday. I think this is not about claiming something, the classification I did was rather random, maybe I should change "fix" to "changed" at some points to make clear that this is not always a bug in the original version.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
