Yes, this is very easy to implement. The problem is the filename might contain spaces and non-ASCII characters, but nowadays it should not be a problem.

I'll try to release a new version on the weekend.

Hello, in kubunutu sh is not linked to bash, and the command [[]] is a build-in bash feature. You can solve it editing the file /usr/bin/flvget (as root) and change the line #7:

[[ -x $KDMR_EXE ]] || exit 1

with:

[ -x $KDMR_EXE ] || exit 1

I'll include this bugfix in the next release.

 Improvements list

 by urke on: Oct 16 2007

Helpfull tool, but not without small bugs.

After file is downloaded if I (in mistake) press Escape (as answer to some question in another app), converted file are not saved, also original FLV and temporary converted file don't resist in /tmp/flvget directory - both was deleted and then I must wait to FLV be again downloaded and converted, until I can save that file.

I think that sound notification of finished process are better than dialog popup/focus. Also, temporary files is better to be deleted on FLVGET exit, instead of deletion after processing/converting.

And, if file title have slash in name, they coul'd not be downloaded. Please add some pattern scanner and replacer for slash, amp, question and other jucker characters for *NIX filesystem.

We also miss some Close/Quit/Exit button on FLVGET dialog.

Best regards

P.S. Sorry for bad English

Obviously if the user press Escape the process must stop, and the dialog is necessary to save the file.

The tempfile must be erased when the process ends or never. Several videos can be downloaded before the program ends and it will not know which file/files should be deleted. The entire temp directory musn't be erase because it will destroy any tempfile from another instance of flvget.

I had realized the slash bug, it will be fixed in the next release.

I want flvget will be as simple as possible and a Close/Quit/Exit button is redundant, you can close the dialog pressing the close button of the window or pressing Escape.

Greetings

 plugin for wrzuta.pl

Hi,

Plugin for http://wrzuta.pl can be added very easly. Just copy plugin for smog.pl and modify its identification code (rename it to be for wrzuta.pl).

FLV url extraction looks the same as for smog.pl.

Greetings!

Hello, it doesn't works. The videos from smog.pl are hosted in wrzut, but the url parsing is totally different. It is not as easy as rename the plugin, the entire code must be rewrited.

Yes, I coded the wrzuta plugin from scratch and I included it in the latest version of flvget, see the changelog.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
