Kerry Beagle is a KDE frontend for the Beagle desktop search daemon.

RPMs of Kerry and Beagle for SUSE Linux 10.1 are available at http://software.opensuse.org/download/home:/Beineri/

- utilize kabc Beagle backend again
- show phone numbers in kabc hits
- don't stop Beagle when quitting
- don't display "(still searching)" - may make dialog too wide
- info icon, longer timeout and more informative about beagleindex popup
- remove major resource hog/blocking for certain results
- translation updates

KDE, Samba, FreeIPA, libssh, csync

is a stop button to stop the search and something like a progress bar. This moving circle in the bootsplash would be nice.

To compile this on FC5, do the following:

1) yum -y install libbeagle-devel
2) unpack source
3) export LIBBEAGLE_LIBADD="/usr/lib/"
4) ./configure --with-extra-includes=/usr/include/libbeagle/beagle

Hope this helps someone out there :)

Similar problem here: noatun is being launched even though amaroK is the default.

How does Kerry open files? Using the KDE setting or using internal defaults? Is it only audio files which suffer this problem?

bash-2.05b# cat /dev/mem | strings | grep -i llama
Damn, my RAM is full of llamas!

I've done some tests, and Kerry seems to be fine with other files. I tried using kcontrol to change plain text files to open in kedit, then changing it back to kwrite, and Kerry changed it's behaviour appropriately, without having to be restarted.
So why does it have issues with MP3 files?

The make failed until I installed libkonq4-dev (Debian). Shouldn't the ./configure catch that?

A way to see where the found File is in the directory.
Searching for "PDF" shows many
Doxyfile.global files in Directory admin which is not very helpful because they are all in different subdirs.
Maybe a statusbar which shows the whole link could help. Like in Konqueror

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
