Need some more infos... when does the crash happen? at each startup ? did you compile Kdenlive / MLT by yourself or from packages... This is probably a problem in your MLT install. If you want help, please send a mail with these infos to the kdenlive-devel mailing list:

I have this message too.
I built it from source (mlt, mlt++, kdenlive) on Mandriva.
It was crashed when I clicked on the timeline.

 Constant Crashing

by PBadger on: Jan 27 2007

It's a very nice looking program, but boy, it sure likes to crash a lot. I can't say what ONE specific thing makes it crash, as it may work nicely during one procedure, then crash the next time I try to do the same thing.

Here's hoping the future brings more stability, as it has the workings of being the best (free) DV editing app on linux.

 I love this program!

I love this program!
All of the other video editing programs for Linux is just wierd...

When I was using Windows I were using Sony Vegas, and I would love to see an option for Linux.

I have however got a feature request.
An option to change the speed of the clips.
Would be nice if this was an effetc so that you could use keyframes for it.

Keep it up!

 Captuing problem

by nicP on: Apr 2 2007

Score 50%

I have managed to install Kdenlive on Kubuntu, but cant capture from my DVcam. Clicking on the little green light in the capture window says the "renderer is not connected" and nothing happens when I try to record or control the cam.

In the clip monitor window the renderer is connected. I have installed DVgrab 2 and that captures from the terminal window with no problem.

I would love to replace my win software with Kdenlive. It looks great.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
