 t all tabs woriking

 by google01103 on: Jul 6 2007

Score 50%

If I recall correctly the following worked in the earlier version

1) "flags cpu extensions" - all is greyed out, I have an AMD64 x2 3800+ 939 socket. The "other cpu capabiliites" works

2) sensor tab displays nothing and yet the sensor command works fine

3) graphics tab shows just OpenGl version and driver name but not version I have a Nvidia 6100 integrated gpu

On the dependency list I don't have lshw, hddtemp or cpufreq - none of which should cause the above problems I would think

thanks,

Please I don't understand if you have resolved all the interdependences, for example some graphical hardware informations are geted just from lshw command, please resolve all interdependencies and them let me know which problem you will have again.

Thank a lot

All dependencies except cpufreq have been resolved and nothing has changed.

I found my old copy of 1.8 and it displays much more information then 2.0.
Also in addition to my earlier comments 2.0 does not display my sound card or ethernet card vendor information where 1.8 does.

This morning I ran as root and everything looked like it should, I then ran as a regular user and it worked.

Does this make sense?

thanks,

Yes of course, because some command are sended using entire path, in this way in a Mandriva system set with security level = normal we are able to use some command also by normal use, the same problem should there also been in an ubuntu system or in a Mandriva with security level > normal.

I'm going to try to uniform all the script in next version to avoid this kind of problem.

Sorry...

any issue about inte core temperature?
i use coretemp module and there's no /proc directory to cat temperature..the temperature is taken directly from core and the pseudo-filesystem was changed into /sys directory..

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
