 phone disconnect

by kiklozev on: Sep 7 2006

Score 50%

Hi!
I must say: "Great work!"
I like very much the anyremote, but found problem compiling the source under slackware 10.1, so I am currently using the console version, which works just fine. Unfortunatelly my phone - Siemens CX75, disconnects from time to time with no reason - just drops the BT connection. I think the problem is in the phone - using a BT java apps which work over the service protocols never drop .... Hope that someone has solution to thisw matter. Please write it here or send me mail.

PS: I wrote script scanning the BT conns, and restarts the anyremote if no connection is found.

Hi,
could You please send me any logs related to compilation failure and disconnects issues ? I'll try to investigate these issues.
By the way, are QT and KDE development packages installed on Your system ?

It gets keycodes through serial connection (which is used to manage phone as a modem)

Well ... I could point You to the specifications. For example Nokia's one. Download http://www.nowsms.com/discus/messages/12/Terminal_AT_command_guide_V3_0-10600.pdf
and read page #90 (search string "CMER")

my webhost domain is temporary inaccessible, because some idiots use it for phising activity.
they provided me with a temporary domain at http://donnie.911mb.com.
if you have trouble downloading the rpm, just replace the 110mb.com with 911mb.com

 nokia 6021

by paulatz on: Dec 28 2006

I am trying to make it work with this *** nokia phone. So I suppose it should use server mode. I am pretty sure that all the "anyremote" part is configured correctly, and the client software too.

Still the client cannot find any server so it is a problem in my bluetooth configuration.

What of the numerous services provided by bluez need to be working in order for the client to find the server? How can I test the configuration?

Many thanks for your great software.

After hours without success I found the solution ten seconds after posting: SISCAN had to be enabled for the interface.

I enabled it with the command:

hciconfig hci0 piscan

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
