2 days ago I spent 5 hours to find a working way to convert to 3gp and with good quality. Checked for all the programs, and finally wrote a script for it.

Now I found this program and it has a much better quality and easy to use. Thanks for it!

Thanx, Nice work! It's very simple yet it has all the functionality needed and most importantly it just works!

I have tried some other scripts made for the same purpose but they did not even succeed to produce a video file!

 Settings

Hi, just a quick question, are the selections in the program such as resolution the highest that they can be?

I managed to get a video running at 256k rather than the maximum 128k, but Id like a larger resolution. Can this be done?

Cheers in advance

Scott

No it`s not the highest...128X96 and 176X144 are resolutions that supports most mobile phones (at least models that I have).
If your model supports some higher resolutions then post it here and I will add new prisets to the script, also I can add higher bitrate as well.

New version of 3gp-converter supports manual editing of all settings ,so now you can try to set up any custom parameters.

 Formatting

You need a close button. You have plenty of room at the bottom for one more button.

Also, you should connect the spinboxes signal to the sliders. That way when you use the up/down arrow on the spinbox the slider moves and stays in sync.

You have an orphaned execute button underneath the convert button.

I dont like the fact that you made the main window a fixed size. Consider using the grid layout and alowing the resize grabber. Not everyone has the same monitor and font that you do.

Other than that it looks nice (I havent tried it. Dont have the need)

:)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
