New Maintainer wanted!
I'm looking for a new maintainer for this project because I'm not able to attend it anymore. Please Help!

KShowmail is a POP3 mail checker for the KDE with these features: show number, size and more information about mails on pop3 servers in a list view, show the mail headers or complete mails, delete unwanted mail from server by configurable filters.

New version 4.1 released.

- dutch and norwegian translation reply function in show mail dialog
- log shows manually deleted mails in the mail view and in the log view a tooltip shows the filter which has catched the mail
- You can set up an action for a double click on a mail list entry
- mail list: an icon in front of the sender shows whether the sender is listed on the whitelist
- Bugfix: KShowmail has crashed while showing an empty mail.
- You can export and import the filter settings
- handbook was written by Otmar Mak (english and german) and our translators have translated it into spanish, italien and dutch
- Some providers need the sequence \r\n at the end of a transmission
- The column order of the views will be saved.

Bug fixed: KShowmail has chrashed when it deleting mails.

First release for KDE 4!

- Spanish translation
- Bugfix: The mail list was not correctly synchronized after a deletion which was performed by the filter.

- Revised filter (dialog and worker)
* White- and Blacklist
* indefinite number of filters
* moving of mails into mailboxes
* ignoring of mails (e.g. for mailing lists)
- Spam check with SpamAssassin (just basically)
- Revised filter log unstable
-SSL/TLS support

- Fixed bug where if you configure 2 accounts, retrieve mail, and then deactivate one of the accounts, it's number of messages still reflects in the tray icon.
- Fixed sort of message number and size columns in message list to be numerical rather than alpha.
- Corrected version displayed in the About dialog.

I'm not familiar with making RPM's. Currently I'm testing the OpenSuse Build Service. But I think it will take a long time until I'm able using it.

Thanks very much. I tried to install from source but without any success (possibly as I already had version 3 installed). So I cheated and installed the rpm for mandriva and that works fine on opensuse (11.3 64 bit)

Thanks for getting this to work with KDE4. It is a fantastic app. I really appreciate your hard work.

I don't suppose you have any plans to get this to work with imap as well as pop3?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
