i think the best enconding performance you can get it's when you use that default command line. i have taken from mencoder manual :

4 is the best compromise among compression and quality(-xvidencopts fixed_quant=4 )

as you can see the command line has that option
cheers , plz USE MY FORUM THIS KDE APPS FORUM HAS SOME PROBLEM WITH ME AND I CAN'T ANSWRER YOU FAST

thank

cheers

-.-'' i have many problem today with this webpage, when i refresh...many times i get errors

so is hard for me support you here.

i have taken the most of the comannd line from mencoder ffmepg manual, so i think fuoco's commandlines are the best.(as you say small size nice quality..)

you have not to change nothing...if you want find out your personal settings learn mencoder and ffmepg

i am sorry but when before
to refresh correctly this page i must push 5 times reload button...-.-''
anyway
as i have said before... i don't know if there is or not previous answer , i get several error when i try to answer you too,
folks has different point of views on formats, some people say the best is h264 mp4 but it is slow so other folks say the best formats is ogg because is free and it seems is more coppressed...you must try by yourself

My RPM contains only fuoco, but it downloads from Mandriva repository the necessary packages to work.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
