Lampp Panel v0.44deb (Debian optimized) used some KDE-Depencies, you can install them by typing:
sudo apt-get install kommander kdebase-bin-kde3 kdebase-bin

More infos you can find in the 'Installreadme' file.

###################################################################################################
Depends on:
kommander kdialog kdesu firefox kwrite xterm
********************************************* English *********************************************
This is my first Kommander script, but I hope you like it anyway ;-), I have written it for my wife
and I hope you´ll like it ;-)
My Lampp panel I´ve written in german on my OpenSuse v10.3 64-bit which runs with KDE v3.5.9, but
it should run on any system where Kommander and KDE 3.5.x installed.
I hope at least ;-)

Functions:
- lampp start + stop + restart + backup
- reload all configs
- lampp securitycheck
- start and stop only apache
- start and stop only mysql
- start and stop only proftpd
- activate or deactivate apache ssl
- check php version or change from 4 to 5 or back
- create a symbolic link for runlevel
- start yast2 or bum runlevel-editor
- open lampp folders 'backup', 'bin', 'htdocs'
- edit httpd.conf, my.cnf, php.ini, proftpd.conf or config.inc.php

Some links to websites with good stuff.

*** All changes you find in the changelog ***

The script was written completly in German so you have to translate it manualy if you want ;-)

Sorry for my english, I hope you´ve understood me ;-)

Gutentag,
did you know Kommander has an i18n() function for text strings? You can make it multi-lingual. See the docs. Your English seems good enough. You could have English and a German translation easily.

does your kommader script also work with a remote server? Can I control a remote server with this script? If not, do you intend to implement this feature?

If your server has a X-Server installed,it should work.
I don´t know if I implement a remote function, because I wrote this script for my wife´s little private-server ;-)

Hi,
If all depencies are installed on your system it should run, except some functions under the Suse/Debian Tab.

P.S.
Good Luck I´ll download Mandriva and try it, too

MfG

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
