Description:

============WARNING!============
It's only idea-don't ask me how to get kdm look like this from screenshots. For today it's impossible to make kdm look like this.
You want this kdm look? Vote for it on:

================================
Hi guys! I decided too show to all world "the way that KDM should look". I think that KDM is today the worst login manager from all Desktop Environments. Look at GDM-beautiful!!, Windows login manager-very nice. And KDM? Sorry, but so great desktop environment as KDE should have better login manager. So KDE developers-please write better login manager. I'm not a programmist yet, but I can help with design and in projecting config file if someone will decide to do it.
Ps.1.There's nothing to download-only screenshots
Ps.2. Sorry for my bad english

 Look at Entrance

Entrance ist THE future loginmanager in my eyes. Go to the enlightenment site, there you can see it.
It'S got awful options, including sounds, transparencies, moving elements, animations, etc....

AFAIK it's beta now, but not stable, i've got it at home.

 Very Good

This new feature would be very good. It would look nicer than the current login manager, however there are some things I would change:

*Go, Clear, Menu and Shutdown buttons should be closer to the login dialogue (I'm lazy and moving my mouse too much would be a bother)

*It needs optional personal display pictures, people like to change those things when they're bored.

*The KDE symbol needs to be changable so that people can put company or distro logos up there

*The writing should be below the symbol

*For the sake of customizability widgets should be KDE styles, not transparent boxes

*An anologue clock would look much nicer in the bottom left hand corner

Thankyou for reading my BS ;-)

Just a comment about the KDE Style for the buttons.

I agree with the proposed idea above, but I think the compromise should come from there : the style used by KDM should not be taken from the root configuration, but from a specific KDM option. So, designing a style which draws its buttons like the picture shown at the top of this page would give a beautiful aspect as well as a theme support.

For my own, I think that there should be a specific tool to "bundle" KDM theme as for KSplash ones. This way, a company or simply an admin is able to change the style easily and cleanly.

Finally, the position of the text should be configurable (no text, above, left, right, top, transparent and over).

Yeah, that's a good idea. If only the good people at KDE had time to read this post...

The KDM already does the things you pointed out, login manager does it.

Good Idea. I like the screen shot. As far as login screens go Red Hat and currently Fedora have more interesting solutions.
PS. Your English is great.

 KDM login

I think this is a good idea - not that it should look like this, but rather, KDM is themeable just as GDM and other display managers. This theme does look very professional whether or not it looks like Windows.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
 It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
 Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
 Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
 Gnome 3 default shell is much better
 I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
 None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
