Description:

This plasmoid is a controller and a visualizer of informations about the songs for amarok 2.0.
It is quite, let's say, advanced compared with the "Now Playing" plasmoid. I have Kirocker as a model, so it works well even on a thin panel.
Currently it shows basilar info about the song, the cover image, the rating and other minor things, but I plan to add some other Things in the future.
Anyway if you have some feature request, please tell me!

Hope you enjoy it!

Hi,

first, you right I didn't use Oxygen. Now it works.
THX!
Maybe you could make it possible that the cover height is always the same like the taskbars height. The Cover is really small.
And the minimum font size don't change the font size.

It actually should show the cover as height as the taskbar, as you can see in the screenshot here. It could be that a plasma theme applies a big margin on the top of the panel, but it'll will be applied to the taskbar too, so they will be equally height.

The minimum size is actually a minimum size :p, so if they have space the labels will set their font as big as the font set, i think, in the font section of systemsettings.
But if the string is too big the label will make its font not littler than the one set in the config, and than it'll start to scroll.
Do you think that it's difficult to understand what does that option without further explanation?

 Just one thing

I can't understand if the display Amarok button is intented only for a maximization operation or if it would even launch the application.
In the second case it doesn't work for me.
In the first case I think it would be a good idea to add this feature which would increase Playwolf usability by removing the need to start Amarok via krunner, panel icon, etc.

It should open amarok event when it's closed. Maybe amarok isn't in your path? If you type amarok in the console does it open?

Yes, it does.
To say the truth sometimes I manage to laucnh it via Playwolf but it doesn't happens everytime and never by clicking on the (I guess) correct button. I've experimented a little (by fuzzy clicking here and there overe Playwolf buttons) and Amarok is launched by clicking the Play/Pause, Next/Previuous and Stop buttons. But, I repeat, it doesn't happens everytime.
Moreover Playwolf remember both the passed and remaining time of the last played song, even with an empty playlist.

that's very strange! it should open amarok when it's closed with the play-pause button and, starting from 0.3.2, with the show amarok one. I'll investigate further, anyway.

PlayWolf has just been uploaded to the (K)Ubuntu repositories. Thank you for your hard work.

As a side note, the FSF address in your copyright headers is wrong. You might want to update this for the next version. The correct address is "51 Franklin Street, Fifth Floor, Boston, MA 02110-1301 USA."

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
