 konqueror bookmarks

by RGBkde on: Aug 22 2009

Score 50%

I just installed rekonq 0.2 from the "community" openSUSE repos for kde 4.3. It looks like a great improvement over 0.1!
The "problem" is that rekonq cannot see my konqueror bookmarks. How can I instruct rekonq to use them?
Thanks!

OpenSuse keeps settings in ~/.kde4, not ~/.kde. I solve this creating symbolic link.

 Bookmarks menu

The bookmarks menu is replaced by a star icon. (see http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/7830/intended.png) Is this behaviour intended?

No it is not intended. This bug doesn't appear on my computer. What version of Rekonq/KDE/qt do you use ?

rekonq: Vesion 0.2.0
KDE: Vesion 4.3.0
Qt: Version 4.5.2

Weird that you say that this doesn't happen on your computer. Because earlier you posted a screenshot, which shows clearly the same behaviour.

 Close all but active tabs

Great program! The only thing I'm missing is "Close all but active tab" keyboard shortcut. Would be great to see it in future versions of the program.

Sure you cannot configure it via the 'configure shortcuts' dialog in rekonq settings?
(I'm at work now and I cannot confirm..)

I've just checked the 'configure shortcuts' dialog in the latest rekonq from git: there is no action like "Close all but active tab". So it seems that it is impossible to configure it from there.:(

Hi,

i can't import my Firefox or Opera-Bookmarks.
There is no Option to do that.
And Java won't work in this Browser.

I use Arch Linux with KDE 4.3.1 and QT 4.5.2.

Yeah, that's the problem. And that's because I said 0.2 is a "quite stable" release.
That's (my) last showstopper to the 1st stable rekonq. I hope anyway 0.3 will be it.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
