 great one

by mETz on: Jan 3 2004

Score 50%

This thing has replaced LinNeighborhood for quite some time on my desktop, it's almost perfect and a lot more comfortable because of its password keeping options.
The only things I miss are:
- mount with noexec
- systray icon, I tend to forget that smb4k is on another virtual desktop

I get these errors while trying to compile on 3.2 beta2:

Thanks

BTW
Ignore the /var/abs/custom/smb4k stuff, that's me building a pkg out of the source, but the error is the same for a normal compile.

I'll have a look at this before releasing Smb4K 0.3.2. Maybe I can fix it.

I have the same problem here.

Fortunately I have my "old" KDE 3.1.4 still installed, so I set KDEDIR to my KDE 3.1.4 folder and I could compile it.

You can actually ignore these errors, doing make and make install in the smb4k subdir is enough to install it.
This doesn't help for packing though.

Thank you for a wonderful application for KDE and Unix/Linux. It indeed is a must have application for KDE >3.1.

A little integration with Konqueror would be very useful. thanks.

Never ever! Thanks for smb4k, it works really very well...

But one thing: how to set encoding to cp1250?

This feature is in CVS and will be released with version 0.4.0 (expected to be released around April 1st). For 0.3.2 and earlier there is no possibility to set the codepage, charset, etc.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
