Depends on  KDE 4.x
Downloads:  20190
Submitted:  Jan 5 2004
Updated:  Jan 1 2012

Description:

Krename offers an easy way to rename hundreds of files in one go, giving you as much freedom as you need. You can use parts of the old filename, information like the current date or even an mp3 tag or the colour depth of an image.

Krename integrates into the Konqueror or Krusader filemanager !

Changelog:

KRename 4.0.9 fixes a crash when starting KRename on Ubuntu, a compilation error in the PoDoFo plugin and updates the Czech translation. The release can be found as usual at http://www.krename.net .

 KRename crash FC3

by gimbab on: Oct 6 2005

Score 50%

I've compiled krename from source and it regularly crashes including crashing KDE. It appears to be related to the number of files i.e. up to about 250 is OK more than that and it starts to fail.

Apart from this problem is is a great application.

Any suggestions?

Could you compile krename with "./configure --enable-debug=full" && make clean && make and try to reproduce the crash. If you can reproduce it, it would be great if you could send me the backtrace by mail so that I can fix the problem.

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
