 konqueror sidebar

Hello,

thanks for this fantastic application.
But I'm not able to compile the new version 1.3.1 with konqueror integration. Is it broken?

 Best audio player!

 by Fri13 on: Oct 11 2005

I really like amarok, and i like even more when 1.3 version came out. That left menubar is much better than older 1.2.x version. I hope that style would come to konqueror and other KDE software too.

First i used Mandriva, then i tryed Kubuntu and i noticed it is much faster. But problem with kubuntu is that it dont have so many packages than mandriva has, even when all multiverse and universe etc sources are selected.

And now big thing why taked Mandriva back is that it has amarok 1.3.x while kubuntu has only old 1.2.4 version.

KDE it just must be...

You can add much more repositories to your kubuntu system check: www.ubuntuforums.org

 other than iPod

amaroK is great. I like it, every day =)

It's possible that any version of amaroK becomes support for external players e.g. Rio Karma?

if your player uses USB mass storage protocol (in other words, if you can mount it as an USB mass storage in KDE), then you can use it in amaroK right now. Just open "Files", type media:/ and you can select the player.

It is not the size of the hammer that counts. It's how you wield it.

Or you could use this. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=26850 You can install it directly from the script manager using the Get More Scripts button. Another thing, we are aware of the fact support for only iPods sucks. We plan on supporting more devices in 1.4 so please be patient and keep an eye on our website for developments.

I installed last amarok and my Home.desktop file now opens amarok instead my home folder.

Same occurs for Trash Icon and System Icon on desktop.

Anyone have an idea?

 3 questions

by mattepiu on: Oct 22 2005

I'm using amarok but I don't understood
some things:
1)are lyrics saveable outside amarok
(for backup, when I format my HD, I don't
want to redownload them all)
2)is it possible to specify somewhere
others lyrics web-pages to check?
3)Is interface customizable? (I don't
need that big favorite songs panel...)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
