Changelog:

ATTENTION BIG CHANGES

The biggest change in this release is how you compile / execute the program. These changes have been made to end a number of bugs attributed to improper installation files used by the application.

So after get the source and unpack ... run in console:

qmake or qmake-qt4 2ManDVD.pro 2ManDVD.pro (on fedora)
make

and finally:

sudo make install

And I stress the make install (as root)

Then you can start the application from your main menu (kde & gnome tested)

Hello,

I think you don't use correct headers of qt ... Seems to be qt3-devel package not qt4 ... See with someone that use your distribution.

 Codec audio of menu soundtrack

 by gaspare66 on: Sep 27 2009

Score 50%

Hi, it's possible make the codec of menu soundtrack (the file VTS_01_0.vob) like AC3 and not MP2 like happens?
I think is possible, there's a flag in k9copy thath can choose the codec of audio menu.
I think that this resolve the problem of menu soundtrack.
Thanks, Gas.

Thanks, it's better, but problem was partially solved.
I see that bitrate of audio menu soundtrack is ever 64kb/s (in ac3 mode and also in MP2 mode); it's possible to set it at 192kb/s?
Hi, thanks, Gas.

I found that the problem is that the software does not transform the audio files at 44100 Hz. If you use audio files with this frequency, processing the menu soundtrack is correct. 2ManDVD does not optimize automatically the audio and therefore will not work.

i was unable to make a dvd

while using 2mandvd which uses dvdauthor (to make a dvd out of an mpeg2 video)
i got this error:
Can't open perl script "/usr/bin/fake.pl": No such file or directory

after getting the fake.pl from an old smile(tool) tar.gz
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/getdeb.net/+bug/421604)
i was getting a new error : "binmode missing" (a perl, function)

i am attaching the logfile.

There is one missing file into your distro package fake.pl ... download source archive and copy the file in the right place

Thanks

PAL DVD too large for TV

by luisfpg on: Oct 13 2009

Score 50%

I've used 2ManDVD (fantastic, by the way ;) to create a standard PAL DVD.

In the computer, everything is perfect, but when I burn a DVD and watch it on the television, the content doesn't fit and is cropped (in both with and height).

What can I be doing wrong?

You must check security area.
Select the keys "Alt + S" and you can see the contours like appear on the screen of your television.
Hi, Gaspare.

Thanks! I'm new in this video stuff...
I had to resize all videos and add a border equal to the security area.
Works now.

 version number

this is a very minor request.

in the about 2ManDVD dialog window the first line is "About ... 2ManDVDx.x".

could you put a space in between the name of the application and the version number like this:

About ... 2ManDVD x.x?

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
