This is my first plasmoid.
Thanks for all your comments and ideas.

Developed and tested on KDE 4.2.1 with Qt 4.5

IMPORTANT: this is early release it's not stable yet and not have full functionality.

I need help with own theme for 0.6+:
Thanks for all mockups.

Sorry for the lack of any update. I will come back to work this summer ;)
Today I need to pass exam and done my other project.

0.5.1 (22.03.2009)
- switch windows on mouse wheel move
- block tooltips on contextMenuEvent
- update tooltip on mouse release (icon)

0.5 (21.03.2009)
- grouping
- new tooltips (needs desktops effects -> taskbar thumbnail)

0.4 (09.03.2009)
- keep expanded: from the current desktop
- keep expanded: all
- polishing
- correct item width when the stasks is full
- better item expanding (no more crazy expanding:P ?)
- initial light effects (for startup and attention -> will be better)
- some optimizations

(Mandriva i586)
(Mandriva x86_64)
(Ubuntu Jaunty)

Really, I like this widget/plasmoid !

Only one thing is missing to make it SUPER :)

That is, being able to add icons/apps to the widget, without the app being active.
So one can start an app, and then it takes in the same place for task-switching...

But, hey, I saw your first attempt.
I've seen it grow, and I must say.. NICE!

It's not really original (Windows 7), but if you give it a good amount of configuration options, ...

Again, NICE :D

Yes, this would be a very nice feature, i would appreciate it, too -- combine running tasks with launchers, like in Avant Window Navigator

Yes, I would also like that.

And also it would be useful to be able to drag and drop the applications into the pager in order to change them from one desktop to another.

And another wish: that the icons/boxes show centered inside the space that Stasks takes up in the panel.

For some reason, Stasks does not stretch efficiently, so it does not play nice with auto-expanding panels.

I would like to do this as well. :)

STasks is awesome. Finally I can show all windows in the taskbar without it getting overcrowded (by only expanding tasks from the current desktop). Two thumbs up!

I just added your plasmoid (which used to work fine on KDE 4.2.x) to a KDE 4.3 controlbar and it seems badly broken:

Expanding tasks does not longer work and the whole plasmoid uses not the available free space but only as much as the current tasks take. This makes it literally impossible to use :(

Could you please fix the issues?

I am not out to destroy Microsoft. That will be just an completely unintentional sideeffect. (Linus Torvalds)

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
