 I'm more 90% KDE

I only use Mozzie (just for email, actually - why I don't just install Thunderbird is not for reckoning at this time... :-) ), Pan, Gimp and OOo. Everything else I use is native KDE.

well, I have to use openoffice, GIMP and occasionally firefox or opera, depending on which sites support what, if konqueror fails me...

Oddly enough, I prefer KDE as my desktop environment, even though I mostly use Gnome/gtk applications (Gaim, gFTP, Gimp, Xchat, gtkpod, evolution, etc) and a few that are neither (OO.org, xmms, gkrellm, firefox, etc). The apps that I use within KDE are few (KWrite, Konsole).

Oh well, I still dig it as a desktop environment. Lots of options, and I'm very comfortable with it.

 only kde apps

i am missing the point "I use kde applications but not the kde desktop".

I really like the customizability and speed of kde applications, but don't need those features of a full DE, so I use kmail, konqueror, juk, kopete,akregator,... but just with my window manager Ion.

The only software which I really prefer non-kde ones are:
- xterm over konsole (faster, can't use my beloved Fixed font in bold mode for some reason)
- mplayer (who needs a gui for watching video?)
- irssi (best irc client i've ever tried, a kirssi would be fine though)
- gvim over kvim (kvim is just slower for some reason)
- tvtime over kdetv (xmltv support of tvtime rocks)

I use KDE applications when possible. The only non-KDE apps I use are the gimp and open office when koffice doesn't do the job :)

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
