This is what wiktionary says:

Noun
nerd (plural: nerds)

1. (slang, derogatory) A person who is technically highly skilled but lacks social skills.
2. (slang) A person with a passion for a seemingly trivial and non-sports related pursuit, misunderstood by society at large but proud of personal achievments.

Synonyms

* (socially unaccepted person): (all are slang and derogatory): dag (Australian), dork, dweeb, geek, loser

OK, maybe nerd sounds nice when you look at the meaning of the noun, but the synonmyms, no way!!!!

 Fly the nerd flag!

by wantar on: Jul 26 2005

Score 50%

I'm a mid-level nerd (71%), but I'm proud of it! Maybe someday I'll be even more of a nerd. . .

Although I do prefer "geek" over "nerd" as geek has a sexier, more technologial conotation to it :-p

P.S. There's some nerdy SOBs on KDE-look!

How can be somebody happy as nerd? OH! I forgot that he has scientific calculator and no "stupid" friends... :) I really want to see test with score higher than 90%... You must lost something... This test is nice joke anyway! :)

Btw. try to answer questions for less than 10% and read result... ;)

97 - Nerd God

Hrm, I beg to differ. I don't have a laptop, or a graphing calculator, or dead insects in my room, or any knowledge of mathematics beyond whatever's normally taught in high school. All those trivial, in-name-only requisites. You don't suppose the test actually did consider them trivial?

I got 98%, surpreme nerd god, yet I answered everything with a reasonable amount of honesty!

I don't have the graphics calculators or the biohazard signs on my room, and I answered "more than 15" for amount of good friends, but I think I scored well with the science questions and the education level.

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
