 in the US....

Here in the US, Windows is HUGELY predominant. No one uses linux :(, its very sad. I mean, people have no idea what linux is.
Part of the problem is that people think that paying for something magically makes it better. If Linux costed 100 dollars more than Windows, Americans would buy it.

Then linspire and xandros have a chance, right? :)

BTW, ispell just highlighted "xandros", but left "linspire" as is. Strange, huh?

 Slovenian

I'm from Europe too, from Slovenia, and people thinks that Operating System is the same as Microsoft. That means that they think that Linux is some sort of Windows. And don't know anythink when I tell them that Linux is free and that it doesn't have any connection with Microsoft. It's sad that nobody doesn't know Linux. And that don't know that KDE and X has many fetures know, that Vista will have.(Transparency, Shell, Preview of files in Konqueror, Popup blocking, SSLv3 support, tabs)

I just love tabs in Konqueror and ability to put any window "Always on top"

And I love Kommando & Kompose.

Thanks for KDE.

Linux is like a wigwam, no windows, no gates an an apache inside

How do you like Plasma 5?
 The best KDE Desktop ever.
 Definitely a nice improvement.
Not decided yet. Haven't tried it yet.
I do not like some of the changes.
KDE is taking the wrong way.
I am still sticking with KDE 3.5.
I have no opinion, but wanted to vote anyway.
