has some very interesting concepts. I even set up konqueror's toolbar on my gentoo box to look like the one in kubuntu.

Though I haven't seen mandriva and suse for a long time, maybe they have something fresh...

You guys should really list this one.

It s after all #6 in ranking on Distrowatch and has been KDE centric from the start. It is also very operative out of the box. The fact that you would place Kubuntu when it ranks at #12 and is really the KDE version of the popular Gnome using Ubuntu is odd. Mepis which ranked #4 would have made more sense.

So many flavors!! So many options!!

Well, popularity isn't really relevant here. Some distros ship KDE with the default config, but some tweak it (custom widget and kwin style, modified toolbars, icon theme and so on). The question is -- how popular these out-of-the-box configs are?

I use fedora. And I like KDE. First, that seems to be something in a strong contrast. But to set-up an eye-candy KDE from a base fedora install makes really fun. The first I do is to replace this boring bluecurve-theme. Next, the icons need to be replaced. And so on ...

I'm new here and should post something soon.

Agreed. PCLinuxOS is the best. Honestly, all other distros make me want to use XFCE. Seriously, when I use KDE on other distros, it never feels quite right, but if it uses XFCE they nearly always get XFCE right. However, I can't stand XFCE on PCLOS because it's such a step down from the beautiful, elegant KDE! ;-D

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
