Activities API for QML
I had an unfortunate intermission in kactivities development due to a hard drive failure. Fortunately, I managed to salvage significant parts of my work, but without git history. Now, it is ready for prime-time. You are now able to access the activity manager without the need for the ‘clumsy’ activities data-engine. Just import org.kde.activities and […]

I’ve been irritated for the way a QSqlQuery result-set is supposed to be processed for some time now – with while(query.next()) and getting the results via query.value(...). I was always thinking it would be nice if it were more accessible… namely, accessible using iterators. To be able to do something like this: for (auto &record: […]

I have a few questions that I’d like to hear an answer to from a wider user (and developer) community. Those revolve around the activity switching UI and the things it could have in plasma 2. Currently, the switcher shows the name and the icon of an activity, and allows you to: switch activities (duh) […]

Do you like or dislike Ubuntu Unity?
 Yes, unity is alien technology!
It is less confusing than Gnome 3 default, shell.
Granny thinks it is much more usable than Gnome 2
Canonical is embarrasing itself with this split project
Gnome 3 default shell is much better
I dislike Unity, Gnome 3 default shell is alien technology!
None of the above, I like the 2Gb for free and Apple alike behavior. Will post a comment instead
